With only knowing the little that you are describing, you might be encountering fuel issues such as air entering the system. I recommend checking the low-pressure side around the fuel filter. Duramax trucks often face this problem, and you can easily identify it by finding fuel residue near the area where air is being pulled into the fuel system.
